🦥 Ancient Egypt
Ancient Egypt was one of the longest-lasting and most extraordinary civilisations in human history. It thrived for over 3,000 years along the banks of the River Nile — from about 3100 BC until 30 BC. The ancient Egyptians built monuments that still stand today, developed one of the earliest writing systems, and created art and architecture that has influenced the world ever since.
